Welcome Winter Sunset

Welcome to our Negotiations Website.

This website was created for two main purposes:

First, so that the parents of the children we teach can inform themselves of the real issues in the present round of negotiations between the employee group (the Quebec Provincial Association of Teachers (QPAT) negotiates on our behalf) and the employer group, which is composed of the Ministère de l'Education, Loisirs et Sports (MELS) and the CPNCA, which negotiates on behalf of the English school boards, including our own school board, the Eastern Townships School Board (ETSB).  Our school board is a member of the QESBA, the Quebec English School Boards Association.

Second, so that teachers can have quick access to information bulletins emanating from the QPAT.  This allows teachers to have more time to be sure they understand the issues before they come to general meetings.

In the navigation bar to the left are all of the negotiations bulletins that have been produced by the QPAT during this round of negotiations.  These are exactly what teachers have been given over this period, and after you read through each of them, it is our hope that you will understand what is at stake in this negotiations.

If you want to know how to contact your school board commissioner or your member of the national assemby, please check our "Links" page.
